Autumn colors have gone, birds fled south with their song.
Winter Symphony by The Beach Boys
Written by Brian Wilson
Nights get longer.
Days get shorter.
Midway through the fall.
The air gets colder,
more brisk.
Feels
like
peppermint.
Soup’s on the stove.
Lights on in the house.
Table is set.
Ready or not.
The colors still linger,
a bit more faded.
The brilliant blaze of October
is now
in the
rearview mirror.
The birds start to gather.
The animals get busy.
The fish seek
deeper water.
The season itself
seems to transform,
gettin’ us ready for
long,
cold nights
that lie ahead.
This fall,
May your days be filled with light and laughter and the evenins’ bring you warmth and coziness.
May the Thanksgiving season start to unveil a layer of gratitude everywhere you look.
