I came to a field of green,

of green leaves,
swayin’ with the breeze.
Corn stalks standin’ tall,
walls and walls
forevermore.
Right turns.
Left turns.
Gettin’ lost.
Turnin’ round and round.
Laughs echoes
through the maze
in childlike delight.
This way.
That way.
Which way do we go?
Twists and turns.
Everythin’ lookin’ the same.
Where do we go?
Which way do we turn?
Follow the sun
and you’ll be fine.
Funny, how that’s life
sometimes.
A few wrong turns.
Going down a few wrong paths.
And then…
Clear as day,
we see a way forward.
This fall,
