Pumpkins callin’ out,
crafty hands get ready.

Plastic knives.
Paintbrushes.
Black, white, & silver paint.

Get the newspaper out.
Cover the table.
Get a plastic holder.
Don’t forget the wet wipes.

Today is going to be grand.
We’re gonna paint pumpkins.

Happy faces.
Sad faces.
Scary faces, too.

Eyes.
Mouths.
And maybe ears.
Or,
flowers, hearts, and stars.

Some pumpkins sparkle.
Some pumpkins shine.
Some pumpkins smile or frown.
Some seem to do both.

No two are ever the same.

No matter what design is done,
laughter echoes through the walls.

At the end of the day,
it’s time well spent,
making memories
with those you love.

Passin’ a pumpkin patch
on the way to work,
thinkin about pumpkins
round and round.

All day, seein’ pumpkins
everywhere I look.

In the office.
In the trees.
At lunch.
In a meetin’.

Can’t get pumpkins off my mind.

After work, in the car,
seein’ pumpkins.

Stop.

Out I go,
into the field,
wanderin through rows,
of pumpkins galore.

Orange and gold,
pumpkins and gourds,
small and large,
waitin’ for me.

Short ones.
Tall ones.
Slick ones.
Bumpy ones.

All waitin’ to be picked.

Pick one up.
Set it down.
Try another.

Sometimes the pumpkin chooses you.

This fall,

May you find joy in the simple search for something special.
May you slow down and notice what speaks to your heart

Fallin into autumn
on an artist’s canvas,
paintin’ trees
with wide brush strokes.
Swirlin’, twirlin’ mixin’ colors,
blendin’ watercolors
so they’re just right.

Oranges, yellows, and reds,
against the backdrop
of deep green trees,
high in the mountains—
cool, crisp colors,
breathtaking
to see.

A sea of vibrant hues
blazin through branches,
sun-kissed beams of light
shinin into my heart.
Piercin’, soakin’, absorbin’ colors
blendin’ emotions
so they’re just right.

Fallin into autumn—
a season of change,
to put the past behind,

Roads windin’ right,

colors abound —
not knowin’ where to look.

Cruisin’ the scenic route

a sight to behold.

Oranges blaze,
reds shimmer
yellows glow,
browns blend soft and warm—

on an endless road.

Up the mountains,
down the valleys,
trees standin’ tall,
