Pumpkins callin’ out,
crafty hands get ready.

Plastic knives.
Paintbrushes.
Black, white, & silver paint.

Get the newspaper out.
Cover the table.
Get a plastic holder.
Don’t forget the wet wipes.

Today is going to be grand.
We’re gonna paint pumpkins.

Happy faces.
Sad faces.
Scary faces, too.

Eyes.
Mouths.
And maybe ears.
Or,
flowers, hearts, and stars.

Some pumpkins sparkle.
Some pumpkins shine.
Some pumpkins smile or frown.
Some seem to do both.

No two are ever the same.

No matter what design is done,
laughter echoes through the walls.

At the end of the day,
it’s time well spent,
making memories
with those you love.

This fall,

May you find joy in the process of creating.
May laughter fill your walls and your heart.
May every brush stroke remind you that craft time
is bonding time.

or the leaves dance away?

the yellows?
each one callin’ your name.

Swirlin’ , twirlin’ , dancin’ ,
Colors leapin’ across the page.
Everywhere you look,
autumn is everywhere.

Steppin outside,
on an autumn day
is like stepping into
an enchanted forest—
capturin’ the whimsy
and the beauty,
before the vibrant colors
start to fade.

Fallin’ into fall,
layin’ on the leaves,
on top of a blanket,
smellin’ the crisp fall air.

Fallin’ into fall,
feelin’ a little cold,
puttin’ on a sweater,
to feel cozy warm.

It’s sweater weather,
when the leaves start to fall,
the sun loses its strong rays,
to catch you walkin in the breeze.

Long sleeves,
long pants,
sweaters fuzzy and soft,
stayin’ warm as the days shrink a bit.

Scarves, sweaters, jackets,
bundled up sippin’ hot cocoa,
the radio in the background,
playin’ cool jazzy tunes.

This fall,

May each button you fasten,
wrap you in the warmth of a cozy fall day,
gently shifting its tone to match the season’s rhythm.
