Fallin’ Into Autumn, Takin’ a Ride

Driving down the road, I get a feeling…

Cruisin’ down the road
on a sunny fall day,
windin’ the window down
to let in the fresh air.

Roads windin’ right,
then left,
colors abound —
not knowin’ where to look.

Cruisin’ the scenic route
instead of the highway,
the foliage
a sight to behold.

Oranges blaze,
reds shimmer
yellows glow,
browns blend soft and warm—
mile after mile
on an endless road.

Up the mountains,
down the valleys,
trees standin’ tall,
commandin’ the stage

Every scenic overlook
reveals a new surprise—
a burst of color
here and there,
divinely inspired,
painted with care.

This fall,

May every road you travel lead you toward wonder,
and may the colors around you stir somethin’
bright and beautiful within your soul.
