Silly Egrets (Birds)
Long-legged silhouette,
One foot stirring shallow water,
Golden plumes in bloom.
Fun Fact: Egrets inspired 19th-century women’s fashion, and their plumes were once literally worth more than gold. (In 1910, laws were passed to protect these elegant birds from disappearing.)
