I and Thou – Lend a Helping Hand

Be still, GOD knows it is so difficult to listen. With the many conversations that take place in your head, it is hard to differentiate the good from the bad. Or the positive from the harmful. Evil seeks to continuously devour the mind. Lurking in every nook and cranny because evil seeks to steal you from God. You need to be aware of this and denounce evil ways and thoughts. It is your choice. Remember that God is love and God is the great “I am.” God is all things positive. Keep that in mind. It is God’s love that shines through your smile and your eyes. Share this with others. God creates all humans with uniqueness – a set of gifts. The end game is to use these gifts, (skills and abilities), for God’s glory. Although it may sound a bit presumptuous and conceited – God speaks to you in all humbleness. God is the glory. God is King. God is eternal. God’s name will be glorified – it will not be insulted or mocked. Blog_Pic26

What exactly is glory? Glory is a misunderstood word. Glory is a delight. Glory is praise. To glorify God is to show love to one another. It is to lend a helping hand when needed. Digging wells. Planting sustainable crops. Feeding the hungry. Clothing the poor. Rescuing children from abuse. Adopting orphans. The list goes on. God seeks to fill you with love. With energy. With compassion. Go, and glorify God today!

I and Thou – Find Peace

You feel shocked when coworkers or loved ones lose their jobs. You feel anxious. You do not feel peace at all. Be vigilant. Don’t succumb to the world of chaos. God is not a God of confusion. It is human nature to worry, to be anxious and to fear. Yet, God says, fear not! (Isaiah 41:10). God seeks to fill you with peace. A sense of peace that is incomprehensible.

Blog_Pic25 God wants you to feel peace. God can do miraculous wonders. Keep the faith. Rest your body. Think more clearly. See the light. God’s light. The sun will shine. Be creative. God wants to you explore new ideas. Think differently. Dwell on what can be and not what is. You are a work in progress. God is molding the clay, and the vessel has not been completed. God loves you and is providing support and encouragement. Walk beside God. Receive God. Be reverent. God knows you are struggling. God is the peacemaker. God is the healer. Trust God. And, be worry-free!

I and Thou – Free to Follow God

God wants time with you. God wants to fill you will peace. It is difficult to rest the mind and let God in. All you need to do is ask and receive. God’s peace is for everyone. Go in the name of the Lord and be healed. Healed from worry, fear, and anxiety.

Blog_pic24 Remember, God is the author of your destiny. So relax, be at peace and be free. Free to follow God. Give all your cares to God because God is the creator. Each person is designed to yearn for God with the ability to open their heart. Many reject God; yet, goes after each lost sheep and is saddened when a sheep turns away.

God is your life and sustenance. Whoever believes in God will be cared for. God carried you many times and will continue to do so. Go in peace and remember to be of good cheer. You are God’s light and God’s love. Fill your heart with love and compassion. And, share God’s good news!

I and Thou – Grateful!

Are you anxious? Waiting to hear back from an employment application? Waiting to be called for an interview? Waiting for a new job offer? A marriage proposal? A baby? Publishing contract? You need to have patience. You need to be grateful. Grateful your bills are being paid. Thankful for food on the table. Grateful for a roof over your head. Thankful for safe drinking water. You do not need more right now. Be grateful for what you have.

Blog_Pic23 God knows that you want peace. Less drama. And, more space. Different space. Fresh air. Relaxation. Freedom from anxiety. To be closer to God. Wherever you are. Whether or not you are in a peaceful place. You have learned that you can quiet your mind and enter God’s presence. You can be close to God where ever you are. All you need to do is focus, and create a space to commune with God. Communion requires discernment. Discerning what thoughts are Gods, which ones are yours and perhaps other people too! Choose to open your mind and your heart to God. Trust God. Ask questions. God hears you. It takes faith to trust God. It takes more faith to feel God’s presence. Still yourself. Open yourself. Seek God with a grateful heart.

I and Thou – Be the Light!

God values your relationship. God is with you and walks with you day by day. You have been given certain traits and abilities. You are unique. You have been placed on this earth to serve different needs – to be a rock. To be a rock for other women. For men. For children. For young adults. Your colleagues admire you. You have integrity. You are dependable. You are accountable. You follow directions. You have the gift of knowing when to take direction and when to give guidance. This is one of your greatest assets. In human resources terminology, you have KSA’s. (knowledge, skills, and abilities). Do you know what yours are?

In today’ Blog_Pic22 s world, God wants you to be a light. God wants you to light a path for other people. God’s word is a lamp for your feet and a light on your path. (Psalm 119:105). You become light through introspection. Take inventory. What are your strengths? What do you excel at? What comes easily to you? Are you creative? Are you contextual? Do you have a focus? Do you relate well to others? Are you light? Or, are you darkness? Do you walk on the dark road? Do you have secrets? Do you tell lies? Do you humiliate? Are you disrespectful? Are your stagnant? Or, do you desire personal growth? It is your decision. Choose the light because you deserve to grow. You deserve to flourish. You deserve to glow. Let God’s light shine through you. Let God illuminate your path. Let God direct you. Surrender yourself to God and let God soak you with light. Be bright. Be brilliant. Shine. Be the Light!

I and Thou – Decisions, Decisions

Close your eyes, take a deep breath and free yourself from the worries of the day. Closing your eyes helps to focus even if it is to listen. You have come a long way since you have chosen to be still and let God speak to you. You are learning to trust God and your inner wisdom. You are bringing to God the decisions of your life, and that is where the sweet spot is. God is in your life to help you and to direct your path. God is here for everyone. Many don’t know how to sit still and listen to God’s voice. You are acquiring the skill and God is looking forward to spending more and more time with you. God has big plans for you, and God needs you to focus on the here and now. Blog_Pic21

God senses those who have financial concerns. God knows you are anxious. You are worrying about where all the money will come from to pay your bills. Remember that God is a big God with big pockets and God’s world doesn’t depend on cash like your world does. You need to separate yourself from your money. Remember it is not yours. You have made choices good and bad. And, God has been with you through all of it; whether or not you really knew. God was there. And, God knows the desires of your heart and how you think and feel. You have a craving for nice “things”; and, yes, you deserve nice “things.” However, you need to see through God’s eyes. Your thinking needs to be what God can use your money for? What kind of a car does God want you to drive? Does God want you to have a fancy car? Or, how about a home? What type of home? An elegant home? Or, a home that is within your budget? Sit down and talk with God for all the decisions in your life. God can help you break down the big picture into more manageable pieces. Does that seem more manageable to you? When making decisions, consider time, patience and level of energy. Consider helpers. Do you have any? Partners, siblings, children? Ask for input. People look at decisions differently. Receiving other perspectives is good.

God knows that you are independent. It is essential that you remain independent. And, it is perfectly acceptable to lean on God and others who God places on your path. People are there for you. So, don’t worry about stepping on other people’s toes. If you are blessed with a helpmate, he or she will help you in any way possible. Just being there to support and encourage goes a long way. It is such a blessing to have someone cheering for you and on your team. Stay balanced. Stay focused. God knows what causes you to be anxious. Ask God for guidance. Then, be still. Listen. God will direct you.

I and Thou – Good Spirit

God knows you want to do it all, but you can’t. Relax and go to God. Talk. Commune. Blog_Pic20 In the depth of your soul. Dig deep through the rubble so you can experience God’s light. God’s glory. The sunshine that warms your soul and spirit – that is God! The difference between your soul and your spirit is hard to explain. Your soul is what you are born with. Every human being has a soul. Even the most unlikely people. The spirit is different! The spirit is God’s connection with you. The spirit can be from God or the evil one. The Holy Spirit is God. The evil dark spirit is from the evil one. There is a lot of evil in this world. More than anyone really can comprehend. Evil is everywhere. And, so is God.

God’s spirit is good. It is light. It is refreshing. It is calming. The evil spirit is dark. It is not good. It takes away energy. You are experiencing God’s spirit as you read these words and you are experiencing the inner wisdom that God has given you. You are experiencing the calming of your soul through God’s spirit. When you are more relaxed, calmer, you have more energy. A lightness in your step. And, then you begin to see people through God’s eyes.

So many people seek worldly materialism. Do you? Know that one day you will live in a mansion – a heavenly mansion where the streets are paved in gold and gemstones. Forget things. Remember the Creator of the Universe. In this world, you need to focus on the present. Living each day to glorify God. God knows it may seem that you are living on the edge and you have no security; you need to know that you are secure – secure in God’s love. Doors will open in the most unlikely places. Keep your options open and pray for guidance. Say “yes” to God!

I and Thou – Pain of Estrangement

The Pain of Estrangement

Mother and eldest son estranged
Since the divorce.

Mother sent gifts first Christmas
Father returned them unopened.

Mother doesn’t understand why
Father doesn’t talk to mother either.

Mother feels betrayed, shamed and disrespected
Father feels in control, full of power.

Mother fights the tears away
Father delights in seeing his son.

Mother hasn’t seen son in years
Father sees him regularly.

Mother moved 5 times in 6 years
Father moved none.

Mother, uncle, and grandmother shunned at graduation
Father and other grandparents celebrated with the son.

Mother’s mother passed away
The eldest son was unresponsive.

Mother watched college graduation through live stream
Father flew to witness and celebrate.

Mother has no address for son
Father doesn’t share information.

Mother loves a child unconditionally
Father loves a child unconditionally.

Then, why does the Father
Keep the Mother away?

You were and are not Worthless

You were not worthless
because you were molested as a child.

You were not worthless
because you were date raped in college.

You were not worthless
because you married a man, who lost his love for you.

You were not worthless
because your husband sought to financially destroy you.

You were not worthless
because you needed to protect vulnerable children.

You were not worthless
because your husband alienated your child from you.

You were not worthless
because you worked four jobs to pay bills.

You were not worthless
because you brought enormous and abundant value to so many.

You were not worthless
because actions had consequences.

You were not worthless
because you were kind, gentle, and compassionate.

You were not worthless
because you were responsible, a good communicator and role-model advisor.

You were not worthless
because you loved to teach, coach and mentor.

You were not worthless
because actions caused visible, invisible, and physical reactions.

You were not worthless
because your words were meaningful and profoundly insightful.

You were not worthless
because you would never stop talking to someone no matter what the circumstances were.

You were not worthless
because you love with a never-ending love.

You were not worthless
because you could whip up a gourmet meal on a moment’s notice.

You were not worthless
because you achieved the goals, you set for yourself.

You were not worthless
because you had grit and an abominable spirit.

You were not worthless
because you overcame many trials and tribulations

You were not worthless
because you placed other’s needs above your own.

You were not worthless
because you overcame.

You were not worthless
because you forgave those, who needed forgiveness.

You are not worthless
because you are a child of the almighty creator of the universe.

I and Thou – Stillness

Stillness is a place where you and God can commune. The messages or words you hear from God is your inner voice. It is the deep, deep place within your soul; where God is…in every human. Go ahead and take the time to dig down and ask for God’s presence and wisdom. Blog_Pic19 God is eagerly waiting for your invitation. God is here for all. Every single human being. Sometimes God is dormant, and sometimes God is very much alive. It is dependent on the relationship that you want to have with God. Do you want God to be dormant or active? If you choose alive, then you will need to be still. Quiet. And, listen. Listen to the words of God.

God values you. God values the relationships that you have. God wants you to have friends, and he wants you to have a mentor. A guide. A spiritual cheerleader. Do you have a friend that is a definite inspiration? How about someone who encourages you? People are placed in our lives to fulfill many purposes such as love, peace, and calmness.
